Have you gotten a glimpse of our organic Highland coffee’s new outfit yet? Then you probably noticed the coffee producer from Congo grinning from ear to ear. Our producers are the stars of the new packaging line. And it’s so much easier now to find all the info about each coffee’s flavour, plus it’s made of more sustainable foil.

What catches your eye on the new coffee packaging?

– Every package features the face of a producer. Because for Oxfam, coffee farmers are more than just suppliers, they are partners with whom we have established meaningful relationships over the years. They deserve all the credit for the quality they produce. The real coffee farmers, all members of the cooperatives that supply our coffee, will now be taking centre stage on our packaging.

– On the front of your pack of coffee it’s easy to see exactly what to expect from the product. How dark is the roast, how strong is the flavour and what characterises its taste? No more searching for that information.

– Less obvious but certainly not less important is the packaging’s sustainable upgrade. The new foil contains no aluminium but the quality guarantee is exactly the same. The plastic foil and the paper wrapping are also 100% recyclable. It just goes to show: there are more than 10 good reasons to choose fair-trade coffee from Oxfam. The BIO Highland coffee is first out of the gate to switch to the new packaging line and is making its way to the customers as we speak. By early 2022 all vacuum packs and pad packaging will be flaunting the new design, with the 1 kg packaging following soon in the spring.
