Do you need a really strong cup of coffee to wake you up in the morning? Or is that delicious strong flavour simply divine with your favourite chocolate? Whatever the reason, Oxfam Fair Trade’s BIO Dark Roast is the solution.

Our master coffee roaster describes this organic, dark roasted coffee as ‘strong and powerful’. With its full body it scores a 5 on our 5-point scale from mild to strong. This makes it the most intense coffee in our assortment.

The BIO Dark Roast is a blend of three types of high-quality coffee, with arabica making up 88%. The dark roasting enhances the somewhat smoky caramel flavour with hints of dark chocolate.

In short, for the fans of strong espresso. Even without a fancy machine. Made with a filter, cafetière or moka pot (Bialetti), BIO Dark Roast is a flavour explosion in your cup.

In an equally strong package

The BIO Dark Roast is of course making its début in the brand-new jacket that all of our vacuum packs will be sporting in the coming months. 100% recyclable packaging, no aluminium and with the spotlight on the coffee farmers.

Specifically, on this wrapper you see Mapenzi Ntamwenge Delive, one of the members of the cooperative Muungano in Congo. Together with the farmers in Ankole CPCU (Uganda) and Norandino (Peru) they supply the beans for this perfectly balanced blend.
