New: Crunchy sesame bar with dark chocolate

Fans of crunchy sesame, pay attention! We’re adding even more punch to your favourite energy booster. There’s a new kid in town joining our popular sesame bar: with dark chocolate.

Chock-full of sesame seeds, pimped with chocolate

This new sesame bar consists of 62% sesame seeds and is filled to the brim with fibre. And for even more energy, we’ve added chocolate with 72% fair trade cocoa. A healthy organic snack!

Sesame from an Egyptian oasis

In the Egyptian Faiyum Oasis, nourished with water from the Nile, our partner Sakaran Society Development Association produces herbs, spices and organic sesame seeds. A nearby lake functions as a natural reservoir and provides the area with water during the dry season. The Sakaran SDA farmers are masters of irrigation, just like their Egyptian ancestors.

Sakaran SDA is a small but promising farmers co-op. Shortly after its establishment, the farmers decided to go organic. You can also taste their high-quality sesame in Oxfam Fair Trade’s classic sesame bar, the sesame paste and the sesame crackers.
