Our bottler filled the last bottles of juice in 1L and 20cl returnable glass in December 2021. We went in search of a solution so we could continue supplying the juices to our customers. And those who search shall find! Here&#8217;s a handy list of all the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New crates for 20cl juices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From April-May 2022 you&#8217;ll find the 20cl orange, 20cl Worldshake and 20cl apple juice in a new type of crate. The bottles are the same and the juice is just as delicious, it&#8217;s just the crate that&#8217;s different: a plastic crate without a handle. Both the deposit for the bottles and the article numbers remain unchanged. Due to the revised assortment we have to say goodbye to the tropical juice in small bottles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tetra Pak 1L replaces glass<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are more changes in store for the 1L juices: from now on you&#8217;ll find the 1L Oxfam juices in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfamfairtrade.be\/en\/2020\/02\/new-sustainable-jackets-for-fair-fruit-juices-co\/\">bio-based Tetra Pak<\/a> made of sugarcane fibres and FSC cardboard. The Oxfam orange and Worldshake in Tetra Pak have already been in our assortment for several years. New in the assortment is the organic Belgian apple juice in a 1L Tetra Pak. We&#8217;re looking at the option to package these per 6 instead of per 12. To be continued!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately we&#8217;re also waving goodbye to the 1L tropical juice and 1L orange-mango juice in returnable glass.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-oxfam-insert is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is organically based Tetra more sustainable than glass bottles?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Oxfam Fair Trade converts to\u00a0<em>organically based Tetra<\/em>. The packaging is made of more than 80%\u00a0renewable, plant-based materials and PFAS free. An independent life cycle analysis shows that the new packaging emits <strong>28%\u00a0less CO<sub>2<\/sub><\/strong>\u00a0than the old Tetra ones. On top of that they are true\u00a0recycling champions: in Belgium 97% of the Tetra Paks are recycled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But aren\u2019t glass bottles more sustainable? Even though glass is in itself more recyclable, it leads to a higher CO<sub>2<\/sub>-emission, mainly due to its transport: glass bottles are heavier than cartons and one lorry can carry fewer of them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Return dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We kindly ask you to return all empty 20cl and 1L bottles no later than 15\/10\/2022.
