Join “De Langste Koffieklets”

For 50 years, Oxfam has been giving people a real wake-up call about the inequality in international trade. And during the Fair Trade Week, from 6 to 16 October, fair trade will be the number 1 topic of conversation. Is your organisation contributing to De Langste Koffieklets, Oxfam’s wake-up call for fair trade?

Making all trade fair trade is a long-term objective. But it’s worth the investment because the fair way is the sustainable way. In other words: fair lasts longest. That’s why we’ll be talking coffee, coffee and coffee for 10 days straight.

How can your organisation participate in the Fair Trade Week?

  • Encourage your colleagues to talk about fair trade while enjoying a cup of fair-trade coffee. A short online quiz (only available in Dutch) will help get them started.
  • Distribute our flyer to your colleagues and customers. Or hang one up by the coffee machine. Send us an email and we’ll send you a stack!
  • Organise a group coffee break – or an after work drink, or a fair trade lunch, or … and inform your colleagues about the need for fair trade.
  • Post photos on social media, tag Oxfam België and use #OxfamKoffieKlets and #FairTradeWeek. In short: spread the fair love!
